PROJECT: UNION STATION
CLIENT: HOUSTON ASTROS
LOCATION: HOUSTON, TEXAS
ARCHITECT: STERN AND BUCEK ARCHITECTS
Historic Union Station, originally constructed in 1911, served as the largest passenger rail terminal in the Southwest. In 1999, the Houston Astros redeveloped Union Station as part of their new baseball stadium, now called Daikin Park. The project includes replacement of all exterior windows with new historically replicated thermal windows with prefinished aluminum frames, to serve this facility for the next generations.
